Catherine has been passionate about yoga, health, wellness and fitness for more than twenty years. She began teaching aerobics while in grad school, and returned to fitness as a profession when her children started school. Catherine’s favorite types of movement are yoga and weightlifting – but she also loves acroyoga, running, dance, kickboxing, hiking. Catherine encourage clients to find a movement practice that not only builds their strength, but balance and flexibility as well. She challenges participants to safely discover the body’s capabilities, and leads them to move with power and integrity. Catherine wants to make exercise an enjoyable experience for you so that it is a sustainable habit for life! Catherine Derrow is certified in a variety of modalities and has taught vinyasa yoga, modified Ashtanga, restorative yoga, children’s yoga, step aerobics, boot camp, circuit interval training and group resistance training. In addition to leading group classes, she also works one-on-one with clients to personalize programs for their individual needs. Additionally, Catherine has earned a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, and is married with three children.
