The Magic Bracelet Premiers at the Drexel Theater on Sept. 22nd

Hollywood comes to Columbus, Ohio! Come walk the Red Carpet & be part of an inspirational event. After being shown globally over 40 screenings with 10 awards, Presented by Abbott Nutriton,
Make A Film Foundation/Rina Goldberg’s Film “The Magic Bracelet” is making it’s Ohio Premiere.

The Behind the Scenes Documentary “Love Life, Dream Big, Be Positive” will also be screened directly preceeding the film.

The Magic Bracelet fulfills the final wish of Rina Goldberg who passed away from Mitochondrial Disease just after her 15th birthday. Some of her final words to her Mom were: “Promise to take care of my film”. The film stars Bailee Madison (Parental Gudiance), Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect 2), J. K. Simmons (Oscar winner-Whiplash), Jackson Rathbone (Twilight series), James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek), Kaitlin Doubleday (Empire) and Scarlett Estevez (Daddy’s home). Script adapted by Diablo Cody (Oscar Winner- Juno) and film directed by Jon Poll (Charlie Bartlett). Original story written by Rina Goldberg. Click here to view the film’s trailer:

In attendance will be Rina’s parents, Ari and Stacy Goldberg who are Bexley residents, and Tamika Lamison, Founder of Make A Film Foundation and producer on the film. Cast member, J.K. Simmons has been invited to attend. Live appearances via Skype by cast and crew is planned.

Event is in cooperation of Drexel Theatre and CAPA – Your Columbus Association for the Performing Arts with all proceeds going to: Mitoaction, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation and Make A Film Foundation. The event is being held during the week of Global Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week.
